About Kimberly Carey

Hey there! I’m Kim, your trusted SE Michigan/NW Ohio real estate advisor. I'm a full-time real estate broker and owner of NextHome Elevate. Over the past 10 years, I’ve helped hundreds of people achieve their buying and selling goals. I’ve got the confidence, experience, and a can-do attitude, all packaged in some good ole’ Midwestern hospitality to make your real estate journey unforgettable. Now, let’s talk about my philosophy, because it’s not just four walls and a roof here: it’s about YOU. My mission is simple, it’s to live out our motto of #HumansOverHouses. What does that mean? Well, it means I care about your needs, your dreams, and your story more than I care about just closing another deal. I’m all-in and fully focused on what matters most to you along the way. 

But don’t let my commitment to humanity fool you into thinking I’m soft! Negotiation is my middle name (well… okay, not literally, but you get the idea). Whether it’s explaining why we can’t justify offering list price, or smoothing out the fine print on possession details, I’ll be the one ensuring your interests are protected and advocated to the fullest. 

I’m a professional - and professionals deliver results. Our proven systems and processes at NextHome Elevate take the complications and stress out of buying and selling. We’ve figured out what works and what doesn’t, and we’ve built something really special to help you have an exceptional experience. One we hope you’ll share for years to come with friends and family (but we’re not picky, we’ve also been known to help your favorite barista or pizza guy, too!)

Finally, let’s not forget to have a little fun along the way because, let’s face it, this adventure should be exciting…. not exhausting. I was recently named a “Real-Life Inspirational Coffee Mug” in a review from a client. Sounds like a blast, right?

I’m proudly involved in serving both our local and state associations, most notably on the Michigan Realtors® Public Policy Committee in Lansing for the past year. I enjoy the advocacy part of this industry just as much as the buying and selling, and protecting your private property rights as an RPAC Major Investor is one of the most important facets of my work. This is just one small way that I’m able to give back and reinvest in what matters to you. I was so excited and pleasantly surprised to be named the SEBAR Realtor® of the Year in 2025. 

When I’m not helping clients or running the brokerage, you can find me with my family! I’m the proud mom to four beautiful and brilliant teenage girls, and I’m happily married to my best friend, John - a Local 8 electrician. We love Jesus, a good workout, and we’re happiest when we get to travel, especially to Aruba. We’re almost always laughing, and with four athletes under our roof? If you can’t find us at home, we’re probably at your nearest cheer comp/volleyball game/basketball tournament. Just don't judge the inside of our cars, okay? We’re doing our best.
